“Clean It, Fix It, or Replace It”
A new air conditioner should be selected for the home, installed correctly and set up to work with the complete HVAC system. Bomar Heating and Cooling provides AC installation and replacement for homeowners planning new cooling or evaluating equipment that is becoming unreliable.
Tell us about rooms that are difficult to cool, unwanted noise and repairs that keep returning. Those details help define what you need from the installation before equipment is selected.
A single repair does not automatically mean replacement is necessary. AC repair may be appropriate when the fault is isolated and the remaining equipment is serviceable. Compare the current diagnosis with the full replacement scope.
The label on the old unit is not enough to select the next system. Room layout, insulation, windows and other building conditions influence the cooling requirement. Discuss planned renovations before equipment is chosen.
Ask how the capacity recommendation was developed and how the existing ducts will support it. More capacity is not an automatic solution for a warm room or poor air distribution. The cause of those problems needs attention in its own right.
A central air conditioner works with an indoor coil, blower, thermostat and duct system. An installation proposal should identify which components will be replaced and which will remain.
If the furnace is staying, ask about its compatibility with the proposed cooling system. Required electrical, drainage and connection changes should be included in the scope rather than left as assumptions.
Bomar is a Trane dealer. We can discuss features and equipment options in relation to the home and your budget. If financing is useful, request the current written terms and eligibility requirements with your estimate.
Confirm access, the work schedule and the expected interruption to cooling. Keep the installation route clear. At handoff, ask how to operate the thermostat, which filter to use and when to arrange AC maintenance.
Retain the equipment documents and service records. If a room remains uncomfortable, record the thermostat settings and conditions when it occurs so the concern can be evaluated.
Only when the equipment condition and compatibility support that decision. Ask why a paired replacement is recommended and what changes if the furnace remains.
Ductless mini-splits may be appropriate for a suitable separate space. Compare a room-based option with changes to the central system before deciding on the installation.
